摘要： A receiving terminal device which provides viewers with broadcasting radio waves from broadcasting stations as programs and in which, when a program switching is executed while a first program is being provided and a program is switched to a second program, the second program is provided and video recording of the first program is started, and when the program is switched back to the first program after the program is switched to the second program, the recorded first program is provided. Then, the receiving terminal device, when the first program is selected again, executes catch-up reproduction of the recorded first program in the manner that the position of recording and reproducing the first program catch up with a position in which the first program is being broadcast by the broadcasting station. Thus, even in case that a switching of a program selection is executed, a broadcasting service without failure of program contents viewing can be realized.

摘要： An original coded stream reproduced from a magnetic tape 1 is decoded by an MPEG decoder 29, and original video data of a base band is thus generated. A switching circuit 15 generates edited video data by switching the original video data and supplied insertion video data on the base band level at IN-point and OUT-point. The MPEG encoder 19 generates an edited coded stream by coding the edited video data supplied from the switching circuit 15. A system controller 13 controls a recording circuit 23 to record only a picture changed by editing processing, from among the edited coded stream, onto the magnetic tape.

摘要： A recording apparatus, allowing a user to view video data while dubbing of other video data, which requires the actual time of the video data, is executed. The recording apparatus comprises a view buffer, and an encode buffer. A MPEG2 decoder decodes a VOBU for dubbing and a VOBU for viewing in parallel by time-sharing, writes the decoded VOBU for dubbing into the encode buffer, and writes the decoded VOBU for viewing into the view buffer. A MPEG2 encoder encodes the decoded VOBU for dubbing stored in the encode buffer. The MPEG2 decoder performs the decoding and the writing at a higher processing rate than a display rate for reproduction. A display control unit reads and reproduces, at the display rate, the decoded VOBU for viewing which is written into the view buffer at the higher processing rate.

摘要： An editing and display controller used in a portable digital image capture device allows users to edit image files and to perform further displaying. Each of the image files comprises a comment column and a corresponding image. The device comprises an on screen display controller, an editing controller, and a display controller. The editing controller comprises an input interface and a compiling module. The input interface provides input options of a plurality of image and character editing functions and permits the users to edit the corresponding image and character in at least one target image file. The compiling module compiles the selected inputs received by the input interface as a corresponding control code and records the control code in the comment column of the target image file in a way that does not destroy the image of the target image file to achieve the non-destructive editing.
