    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a load sensor capable of precisely compensating a temperature in synchronization with a temperature change in the load sensor itself having a tuning-fork vibrator, and to provide a balance using the load sensor. SOLUTION: The load sensor which has the tuning-fork vibrator 3 formed integrally with a sensor base 2, and in which a load is applied to the tuning-fork vibrator 3, thereby varying a frequency of the tuning-fork vibrator 3, detects the applied load by using the varied frequency. In the load sensor, a second tuning-fork vibrator 4 having a structure being not affected by the load is formed integrally with the sensor base 2, in addition to the first tuning-fork vibrator 3 which detects the load, and the load being not affected by the temperature is detected based on the frequency of the first tuning-fork vibrator 3 and the frequency of the second tuning-fork vibrator 4.
