    • A heat exchanging coil is immersed in water in a heating pod heated over a fire or other heat source. Flexible tubing connected to the coil transmits heated water or other fluid under pressure from a water pump in a reservoir connected to the tubing. Loops of the tubing pass through various items used in outdoor activity including sleeping bags, tents, heaters, bowls, chairs, and even a shower. The heated water is pumped intermittently in a continuously recirculating flow through the system from the heating coil through the item(s) and back again through the heating coil. A timer connected to the pump allows flow of the heated water bolus at any desired timed interval. Alternately, cold water may be circulated through the system for cooling in conditions of extreme heat. Ice or snow or cold water may be used in the heating pod and the pump activated to circulate the chilled water.

    • A process of electrically heating a spa having electrically operated devices connected to the spa, such as one or more water pumps, lights, and at least two heaters, in an environment in which there is not enough current to operate all spa devices simultaneously. The process includes the steps of providing a control system with data as to which devices are connected to the spa and how much current each device requires, and how much current is available to the spa. Next, the amount of current that is being used by the devices currently operating, other than the two heaters, is calculated. This provides the amount of the residual current available. If the spa water temperature is below a desired temperature, a determination is made as to whether there is enough current to operate one or both spa heaters and either one heater or both heaters are turned on based upon this calculation.

    • A fluid heat transfer system including a motor and a tank located in adjacent compartments. The motor includes a rotatable shaft extending into the tank having an opposed end connected to an impeller for circulating a heated working fluid through the system. A hollow tube surrounding the rotatable shaft extends from the motor into the tank and forms a leak proof seal between the tube and the tank so that the fluid will not leak outside of the tank. The fluid circulates through numerous tubes positioned within the tank having respective inside surfaces which are each provided with a heating unit therein for collectively heating fluid as the fluid passes between each respective inside surface and heating unit. The tubes have dimples formed therein for more efficiently heating the fluid.
