    • This invention relates to a combustion unit used to burn gaseous energy carrier media mixed with steam, which includes a burner head provided with an inlet side and an outlet zone as well as a housing that surrounds the reaction chamber formed as an elongation to the outlet zone of burner head, said burner head being provided with a gas inlet device serving for feeding the gaseous energy carrier media and a steam inlet device suitable to feed in steam, where said gas inlet device has a nozzle that includes a gas chamber surrounded by an outer wall and an inner wall with an external linking element linking them together as well as an internal linking element provided with gas distribution bores, an inlet stub that can be connected to the gas pipeline; the said steam inlet device includes a steam nozzle leading to a primary inlet chamber surrounded by the inner wall of the gas inlet device as well as an inlet stub that can be connected to the steam pipeline; furthermore, the housing of the combustion unit is provided with a perforated permeable zone, said housing having an outlet opening at its free end opposite to the burner head. The characteristic feature of the invention is that, a flow diverting assembly (500) enclosing the outlet zone (120) at least partly and surrounding the primary combustion chamber (414) arranged along the longitudinal axis (412) of housing (400) is connected to the outlet zone (120) of burner head (100), furthermore, the inner side (420) of housing (400) and the outer boundary surface (150) of the burner head (100) are separated by some spacing (600) and one or more air intake openings (700) are arranged between the connecting edge (430) of housing (400) and the outer boundary surface (150) of burner head (100), while a set of air channels (710) forming the elongation of air intake openings (700) each are arranged within the spacing (600).
