    • The speed reducing mechanism operating as an endless screw and tangent wheel device is formed by a shaft (1), threaded rollers (2), the assembly being housed in a casing (5) provided with an opening allowing the access to the tangent wheel (4) of which the teeth mesh with the thread (3) provided on the threaded rollers (2). The threaded rollers (2) rotate about the shaft (1) and soon as the latter is rotated. The thread (2) act on the teeth, inclined or not, of the tangent wheel (4), either by their own inclination, or by the offset of the thread (2) passing from one roller to the next. This mechanism allow to obtain an improved precision in the transmission of the rotation, a play free operation since it is possible to prestress the mechanism in the horizontal and vertical axis in a same required space, it is also possible to obtain a very large range of reduction ratios, range which is composed of rational numbers which do not have to be necessarily integers. Such a mechanism may find itself useful in a great number of applications where a worm gear/tangent wheel reducer was heretofore used, particularly applications where a very high precision and a high efficiency are required.

    • An actuating electromotor for technical devices, in particular in motor vehicles, has a small electric driving motor (2) with a motor shaft (4) provided with a gear meshing element (3) at least on one point, in particular at its end, a worm (5) of a worm gear slipped on the motor shaft (4) and a worm wheel (6) of the worm gear, preferably made of plastic, coupled to the worm (5) by meshing teeth. The worm is made of plastic and a catch (7) made of a material which is harder and can transmit higher torques than the plastic material of which the worm (5) is made is slipped on the motor shaft (4) and has a meshing element for meshing with the corresponding gear meshing element (3) of the motor shaft (4). The catch (7) has a worm meshing element at a substantially larger diameter than the diameter of the motor shaft (4) and the shaft (5) has, in turn, a catch meshing element which meshes with the worm meshing element of the catch (7).
