    • A power source unit includes an inverter connected to a power transfer device, a first battery that can be charged and discharged through the inverter and a second battery that can be charged and discharged through the inverter. The second battery has a power voltage lower than that of the first battery. The power source unit further includes a power conversion device connected to the inverter, providing a transforming function, and a switching device provided between the power conversion device and the first and second batteries. The switching device switches a connection between the power conversion device and the first battery, and the power conversion device and the second battery. The inverter is connected to the first and the second batteries through the power conversion device.

    • A method for the cross-metathesis of terminal olefins is disclosed. The method describes making disubstituted internal olefin products by contacting a first terminal olefin with another first terminal olefin to form a dimer and then contacting the dimer with a second terminal olefin in the presence of a catalyst having the formula where M may be Os or Ru, R and R1 may be the same or different and may be hydrogen or a substitutent group selected from C1-C20 alkyl, C2-C20 alkenyl,C2-C20 alkynyl, aryl, C1-C20 carboxylate, C1-C20 alkoxy, C2-C20 alkenyloxy, C2-C20 alkynyloxy, aryloxy, C2-C20 alkoxycarbonyl, C1-C20 alkylthio, C1-C20 alkylsulfonyl, and C1-C20 alkylsulfinyl.     • The present invention relates to a method for producing a polymer and copolymer of ethylene, and more particularly to a method for producing an ethylene polymer and copolymer by reacting a compound of an organic metal of Group 2, 12, or 13 on the periodic table of elements with an alkoxy silane compound in the presence of a titanium catalyst, the said titanium catalyst being produced by a process of preparing a magnesium compound by contact-reacting a halogenated magnesium compound and alcohol, of reacting the said solution with an ester compound which contains at least one hydroxy group and a silicon compound containing an alkoxy group, and also of reacting it with a solid matter obtained by reaction of a mixture of a titanium compound and a silicon compound with a titanium compound. The catalyst used in polymerization and copolymerization of ethylene in the present invention is high in catalytic activity, and the polymer produced by the use of this catalyst has the merits of a high bulk density and a narrow molecular weight distribution.

The norbornene-type homopolymers or copolymers can be prepared using an in-situ catalyst composition including: (a) a transition metal compound of ML4, wherein M is a Group 10 metal and L is a neutral electron donor ligand; (b) a hydrocarbyl halogen containing a double bond or a triple bond; and (c) a salt of a non or weakly coordinative anion that can replace a halogen bonded to a metal.
