    • For the production of oblong articles of polyurethane integral foam, which have normally been produced by moulding in closed and pressure resistant moulds, is used a moulding apparatus of the type comprising a pair of endless mould part chains (2 and 4), which are held in engagement with each other along a common forward run (8) for forming a continuously forwardly moved moulding chamber (26), into which the moulding material is injected through an injector head (24).     • Spacer material (21) suitable for sandwich constructions (21, 22, 23) is manufactured with the help of a low-pressure chamber (9). Inside a first space (8) at atmospheric pressure air bubbles are introduced into a curing agent-compatible plastics material, for example a thixotropic laminating polyester. The material thus provided with air bubbles is placed on an exposed mould (5) or on a base inside or outside the aforementioned low-pressure chamber. After the material provided with air bubbles has been placed inside the chamber the latter is actuated in order to provide a second pressure which is considerably below the first pressure. The plastics material takes rigid shape at said second pressure inside the chamber for a short tack-free time, and the air bubbles which have been caused to expand by the low pressure are trapped in the plastics material during the solidifying process.

    • By a method and a plant for producing polyurethane foam products foaming reagents (12) are fed to a mould lined with paper (3, 4) which is movable by means of a conveyor belt (2), said paper linings (3, 4) being unrolled from rolls (5, 11). The reagents will thus be fed to the mould spread over its height so that the reagents will immediately adhere to the side paper (4), and will not be required to move vertically upwards from the bottom (3) of the mould so that the finished product gets a quite plane surface without cracks or other defects due to tensions between the side paper (4) and the foaming reagents (12).

    • An insulating foam and a process for producing insulating foam, wherein a foamable first component may be made of alkyl sulfate, half ester of maleic anhydride and acrylic resin in an aqueous solution is mechanically foamed with air, and to that foam is added an aqueous solution of magnesium oxide, dispersant, acrylic resin, perlite and/or precipitated calcium carbonate. Such two or three portion compositions can be mixed in the mixing chamber of a foaming gun whch immediately after foam-mixing injects the foamed mixture into a desired site, such as a building wall.
