    • The invention relates to a method and an apparatus for handling objects (1) which are to be subjected to several different handling and machining operations, in particular irregularly shaped objects which have to be oriented and aligned in a special position before each operation is started. After the objects have been manufactured, but before they are subjected to machining, they are collected, moved, handled and stored in cavities (10) of a shapable and flexible material, for instance a plastic film (4), which can be wound onto a bobbin (12, 14) like a roll of film. In this way, the objects (1) are kept well protected and compactly collected, and above all in an accurate predetermined orientation or position in the film (4) around said bobbin. When the film is unwound the objets (1) are successively picked from their cavities (10), machined and thereafter put back in the same position in their respective cavities (10) in the film (4).
