摘要： An improved ball launching racket has a flexible net disposed within a central opening of a racket by a plurality of removable clip and elastomeric band assemblies. The construction of the clip facilitates expedient mounting and removal of the elastomeric bands, thereby allowing a user to expeditiously change the tension in the net, which in turn, changes the launching characteristics of the ball launching racket. The clip construction promotes usage of elastomeric bands that are free from apertures or slits, so that stress concentration points within the elatomeric bands are eliminated, increasing the useful life of each band.

摘要： Described are athletic devices containing superelastic components capable of producing a spring force in response to a deflection. The superelastic components improve the performance of athletic devices by increasing the contact duration between the active element of the device and objects the devices are configured to exert force. The superelastic components of also provide increased resistance to breakage or plastic deformation of the athletic device, especially when exposed to frequent deflections. Superelastic components are able to decrease the weight of the athletic device without sacrificing strength. The superelastic components also enable applying a specific spring force at a flex point of the device to enhance the dynamic response resulting from a desired deflection.

The striking blade includes a hollow substrate consisting of first and second flat sheets and a plurality of partition walls successively arranged between the two flat sheets to form a plurality of cells in the substrate. In this striking blade, a hard layer is attached to the outer surface of the first sheet of the substrate for allowing a user to strike a ball strongly. A sub-layer is attached to the outer surface of the second sheet of the substrate and acts as a cushion. In addition, a soft layer is attached to the outer surface of the sub-layer and has a plurality of densely packed hook members over its whole external surface. The racket of this invention allows a user to strike various kinds of balls.
