摘要： In the control of pests in gas-tight spaces using gaseous phosphine, concentrated phosphine gas is passed through a phosphine-permeable dividing wall and then immediately combined with air to give phosphine-air mixtures with concentrations below self-ignition limits. Control of pests in gas-tight spaces comprises: (a) providing a source of phosphine (PH3) in concentrated form; (b) conducting the concentrated gaseous phosgene from the source into an air stream through a PH3-permeable dividing wall such that the introduced PH3 is immediately diluted at its point of introduction to below the concentration limits for self-ignition of PH3-air mixtures; and (c) introducing the resulting PH3-air mixture into the space to be fumigated. An independent claim is also included for an apparatus for performing the method comprising a tube fitted in its central region with at least one gas inlet manifold having a porous or PH3-permeable dividing wall with a flat outlet area; the tube can be combined with inlet and outlet pipes for a pressurized air stream; and the manifold can be combined with a concentrated PH3 gas source.

摘要： As shown in Figure 1 there is one embodiment of a fumigation apparatus in the form of a module (8) including a panel (10) which can be positioned in or at an opening of an enclosed space in use to define a fumigation chamber. Fumigant inlet means in the form of an orifice (12) are arranged in the panel (10) to allow a flow of a fumigant directly into the fumigation chamber during a fumigation interval. The panel (10), when positioned in use, is secure against the passage of fumigant and gases. A nominal number of mixing fans, in this case two fans (16) and (18), thoroughly circulate gases within the fumigation chamber when operating. The module (8) includes a system control box (14) linked to the fumigant delivery orifice (12) and valve system which functions to control the flow of toxic gas into the fumigation chamber. When the fumigation interval is complete, the fans (16, (18) are switched off, the flow of fumigant to the chamber is stopped and then extraction means are used for evacuation of the fumigation chamber gases. The extraction means includes a pipe (28) attached to an orifice (30) located in the lower region of the panel (10), the pipe (28) in turn connected to a contra-rotating fan (34) and an actuated butterfly valve (32) and thence to a pipe exhaust stack (36). Absorption means are operatively coupled to the extraction means to absorb the fumigant extracted from the fumigation chamber. The absorption means is in the form of a removable absorption bed cartridge (40).

The coating may be formed on the tip end of the body, or alternately, may be formed intermittently along the length of the body of the coil.

摘要： A system and method for vehicular mounted chemical and organic agent delivery. An apparatus and method are disclosed wherein an aluminum frame is utilized to mount a high power blower. The apparatus is designed to be mounted on a vehicle. A chemical or organic agent is loaded into a reservoir also mounted on the vehicle. By the use of a peristaltic pump, the chemical or organic agent is pumped into a nozzle and introduced into the wind flow, thereby allowing for airborne application of the agent. The apparatus has the ability to adjust the rate of the pump in accordance with a predetermined or constantly ascertained ground-speed. A user operates the vehicle and applies the chemical or organic agent at will.

The apparatus may also include an intermediate support structure for providing support to the canopy and a conduit in communication with the chamber to supply cool air to the chamber.
