摘要： A solar heating panel having a curvilinear flow passageway through which a fluid flows to be heated by solar energy, comprising a top sheet having a plurality of upwardly protruding convex upper-portions shaped to reflect a portion of incident energy from the sun to adjacent upper-portions, and a bottom sheet sealingly engaging the top sheet and having a like plurality of upwardly protruding convex lower-portions which underlie a corresponding one of the upper-portions, and protrude upwardly into such upper-portions of the top sheet thereby defining a hollow space therebetween which has a crescent-shaped cross-section, wherein the hollow spaces thereby formed are interconnected to form the flow channel. As a further refinement, undulations, protuberances or depressions may be further provided along the length of the flow channel to introduce turbulence in the fluid flow to thereby increase the rate of heat exchange between the solar heating panel and the fluid.

摘要： A heat exchanger for warming the water in a swimming pool during the day by means of solar heat and for cooling the water at night consisting of a pair of rectangular sheets of black matte finish flexible film plastic sealed together so as to form a closed perimeter having an inlet passage and an outlet passage, and a sinuous flow path consisting of a plurality of straight parallel elongated flow channels formed between the inlet and the outlet. At a plurality of points along each straight flow channel the two plastic sections are heat sealed together to form obstacles to the straight flow path creating zones of turbulance which enhance the efficiency of the heat exchange. A pump removes pool water from a drain, passes it through a filter and divides the filter output between one flow path back to the pool inlet and another flow path to the heat exchanger using an adjustable flow diverter consisting of a T-section having a movable tube extending up from the leg of the T into the arm.

摘要： Disclosed is a system and method for harvesting solar energy, and more particularly an energy-positive sky lighting system that may provide an integrated energy solution to a variety of commercial buildings. A plurality of skylight modules are provided, each having a plurality of louvers configured to reflect incoming sunlight onto a thermal receiver area on an adjacent louver to heat a working fluid in communication with the louvers (i.e., such that heat transfer is carried out between the thermal receiver and the working fluid), all while allowing control of the amount of daylight that passes through the module. The modules are constructed such that the balance of the solar energy not going into day lighting is captured in the form of thermal heat, which in turn may be applied to building system cooling and heating applications.

摘要： A modular, solar energy system comprising one or more modular solar panels. The solar panels include a pair of general planar, plates that are secured together to form a narrow channel therebetween for the circulation of a liquid. The solar panels have header assemblies affixed to opposite edges thereof and which control the entry of liquid into the channel and the exit therefrom. The inlet header assembly has a plurality of nozzles that are adjustable in size to control flow therethrough while the outlet header assembly has elongated nozzles to receive flow or liquid from the channel. The plates are preferably constructed of aluminum and one plate has a photovoltaic cell affixed thereto to face the sun and the other plate has a plurality of indentations that enhance the heat transfer characteristics with respect to the liquid flowing though the channel between the plates.
