    • An air intake system including a filter, a first pipe, a fan, and a second pipe. The filter is located behind the grill or inside the fender well outside the engine bay so the filter does to not draw any hot under-hood air. The filter is attached to the first pipe which has spiraling groves cut into the inside of the pipe to transform the turbulent air drawn in through filter into a smooth spiraling stream which provides a more consistent mixture of oxygen. The first pipe is attached to the fan wherein the fan increases the velocity of the air. The fan is attached to the second pipe which has spiraling groves in the same direction as the spiraling grooves in the first pipe. The second pipe is attached to the engine's air box by an airtight connection and delivers the smooth spiraling stream of air at a relatively high velocity to the engine.

    • The invention relates to an intake system for an internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle for separating entrained water droplets. The intake system has an untreated air intake (10), an untreated air pipe (11) connected to said untreated air intake (10), and a water separator (12) adjoining said untreated air pipe (11). Inside the untreated air pipe (11) a swirl is produced to cause the aspirated air to rotate inside the untreated air pipe (11). The untreated air pipe (11) communicates with the internal combustion engine. The water separator (12) has an inner pipe (13) and an outer pipe (14), which are arranged coaxially to one another. The inner pipe (13) protrudes into the outer pipe (14), which is provided with a water outlet (20). Due to the coaxial construction of the water separator (12), the intake air flows into the downstream components without being diverted, so that no appreciable pressure losses are caused.

    • Structure and a method for introduction of a mixture of fuel and air into the combustion chambers of an internal combustion engine which has a plurality of combustion chambers. Each combustion chamber having an intake port region which leads to the combustion chamber. The structure has an inlet manifold which has fluid communication with the intake port region of each of the combustion chambers. The structure also has an outlet manifold which has fluid communication with the intake port region of each of the combustion chambers. A fluid pump forces continuous circulation of the mixture of fuel and air flows from one manifold to the other manifold as the two manifolds are arranged in series relationship. Thus, at any given period of time, the same quantity and the same composition of fuel and air is available at all of the combustion chambers, and engine operation is enhanced. The structure also includes fluid conduit members which direct the mixture of fuel and air against the hot walls of the intake port regions for vaporization of the fuel in the mixture of fuel and air.

    • A throttle body spacer for improving engine performance is provided. It comprises a spacer block with a smooth bore hole, a plurality of air fins, each air fin being connected at one end to the spacer block and the distal end extending to about the center of the bore hole, and a means for mounting the throttle spacer body to hold it in place. In one embodiment the spacer block forming the throttle spacer body is square with a single bore hole in the center. There are four air fins, one mounted from about the middle of each side of the spacer body, that extend to about the center of the hole. The air fins can be made from aluminum and are bent at a forty-five degree angle. In order to accomplish the goal of absorbing less heat, the spacer block forming the throttle body spacer is comprised of thermoset resin. The throttle body spacer has holes located near each corner where fastening elements can be inserted to hold the apparatus in place.
