The hydrogenation system (2) for an aromatic compound comprises a hydrogenation reaction unit (11) for adding hydrogen to an aromatic compound by a hydrogenation reaction to produce a hydrogenated aromatic compound, a first separation unit (12) for separating a gas and a liquid component from a product of the hydrogenation reaction unit while maintaining a temperature of the product generally higher than a boiling point of the hydrogenated aromatic compound, and a second separation unit (13) for separating the hydrogenated aromatic compound from the gas component separated by the first separation unit.

摘要： A diisocyanate compound substantially free from chlorine is prepared by the following consecutive steps (1), (2) and (3): (1) preparing dimethyl carbonate by a method selected from: (a) a method wherein carbon monoxide and oxygen are reacted with methanol, (b) a method wherein propylene oxide is reacted with carbon dioxide to prepare propylene carbonate, and then, the propylene carbonate is reacted with methanol, and (c) a method wherein a nitrous acid ester is catalytically reacted with carbon monoxide; (2) reacting the dimethyl carbonate with an aliphatic diamine in the presence of an alkali catalyst to prepare a corresponding urethane compound; and (3) thermally decomposing the urethane compound under a reduced pressure of 1 to 700 Torr in a high-boiling point solvent.

摘要： Novel hydrogenation catalysts are formed by impregnating a suitable support material with an aqueous solution of a salt of a transition metal; heat-treating the impregnated support at a temperature above 500.degree.F. to form chemical complexes on the surface of the support and to drive off moisture and absorbed oxygen; activating the surface complex by contacting the impregnated support with a soluble organometallic compound wherein the metal constituent is selected from Groups I, II and III of the Periodic Chart of the Elements, and thereafter treating the activated support material in the presence of a gaseous stream containing hydrogen at a temperature of at least 300.degree.F. to form a highly stable heterogeneous catalyst. The novel supported catalysts of the instant invention have been found to be highly active for the hydrogenation of organic compounds under extremely mild conditions.
