摘要： Presented here is a system and method for creating easy-to-understand notifications of the vehicle state. The notification can be visual or can be auditory and can indicate to the user the vehicle state even when the user's attention is directed elsewhere. The indication can serve to attract the user's attention before more involved information is presented to the user, such as text, or the indication can serve to communicate to the user the vehicle state in an easy-to-understand way such as using color-coded displays or audio indications. The intensity of the indication can be adjusted based on the likelihood that indication will be perceived by the user by, for example, measuring ambient light and/or ambient noise. Reducing the intensity of the indication conserves energy of an energy source associated with the vehicle.

摘要： A bicycle includes a frame, a motor, a battery, and a key interface. The frame includes a head tube, a down tube coupled to the head tube, a central hub coupled to an end of the down tube opposite the head tube and defining an internal cavity, and a mount positioned at least partially directly underneath the internal cavity. The motor is coupled to the mount such that the motor is positioned at least partially underneath the internal cavity. The battery extends at least partially into the internal cavity of the central hub and positioned at least partially directly above the motor. The battery is configured to power the motor. The key interface is supported by the mount. Engaging the key interface releases the battery to facilitate removing the battery from the frame.

摘要： An automated bicycle lighting system comprising light modules that contain sensors and a processor which enable the color and/or flash state of the emitted light to be changed depending upon the physical orientation of the modules is provided. The sensors and processor also allow the operating state of the light modules to be adjusted depending upon whether movement of the light modules is sensed. The modules are used in combination with pedals configured to removably receive the modules and/or with an auxiliary mount that provides for mounting the modules to other components of a bicycle, such as, for example, handlebars, seat-posts, frame tubes, helmets and/or a rider's clothing.

摘要： The embodiments show an efficient, flexible, durable, lightweight and portable (12) electromechanical apparatus (12) that a cyclist can easily and safely operate. The design allows for the remote positioning of a visible elongated object, (12) safety sleeve/arm (12), from a secured vertical stowed position, to a secured horizontal active position without stopping during the ride. The elongated, aerodynamically shaped (12) safety sleeve (12) will have (12) LED strip lights (12) along the trailing edge, along with a (12) wing tip light (12) at the end of the member. Also included are reflective materials at both ends and on the leading edge of the (12) safety sleeve (12). The purpose of a (12) safety sleeve/arm (12) in the active horizontal position is to provide oncoming motorists with a dimensional frame of reference to clear the pedal vehicle when passing. Because of the size and shape of the lighted safety member, a motorist will receive the early detection needed, allowing them time to maneuver their vehicle around the cyclist. Thus, providing adequate clearance between the cyclist and motorist when passing, which will help them to comply with the 3 foot rule enacted in 33 states in the USA.

摘要： A handlebar grip set has two turn signals, two operating kits, and two grips. Each of the two turn signals is detachable and has a base, an illumination module assembled to the base, and a housing assembled to the base and covering the illumination module. Each operating kit has a button module electrically connected to the illumination module of a corresponding one of the turn signals. Each one of the grips surrounds the base of a corresponding one of the turn signals. The base of each turn signal is configured to be assembled to one of two ends of a handlebar. The turn signals of the handlebar grip set provide sufficient warning function when a bicycle equipped with the handlebar grip set is turning.

Turning a key in the first key interface releases at least a portion of the cover from the frame. The second key interface is positioned along the frame proximate the second opening.
