CONSTITUTION:Guide rollers 6r and 6l of an ink ribbon 3 provided near the both ends of a print head 7 and a printing medium 8 are inserted rotatably into a guide roller shaft 12 fixed on a substate 2 and charged in the direction of the arrow D with a spring member 13. The guide roller 6 has cam sections 6a-6c provided at the other end thereof and is engaged with a pad pin 14 provided on the shaft 12. Therefore, as a rotating force is applied thereto, during the guide winding of the ink ribbon 3, the guide roller 6 moves vertically turning following the lead of the cams to vary the height of the ribbon 3 wound thereon 6.
