    • A liquid dispensing nozzle assembly is provided for mounting on a liquid container and dispenser having a flexible wall and liquid storage cavity for manually squeezed dispensing of a liquid from the cavity through the nozzle assembly. The nozzle assembly maintains the liquid, such as contact lens saline solution, in sterile condition during storage and repeated dispensing of the liquid from the container cavity. The nozzle assembly includes a liquid conduit for communication from the container cavity to a liquid discharge port from the nozzle assembly to enable dispensing of the liquid displaced by manually squeezing the flexible wall of the container. The nozzle assembly also includes an air aspiration conduit separate from the liquid conduit for aspirating air into the container cavity to replace the dispensed liquid. The nozzle assembly includes a partitioned diaphragm including separate portions respectively included in the liquid conduit and the air aspiration conduit. The air conduit portion of the diaphragm can include a filter which is hydrophobic and air permeable but impermeable to bacteria to prevent entrainment of bacteria with the aspirating flow of air into the liquid storage cavity of the container.

    • A dispensing head for a container is disclosed. The dispensing head includes a portion defining at least one opening on the dispensing head for permitting dispensing of a product via the opening. A valve is configured to limit direct flow of air into the container via the opening and to permit dispensing of the product via the opening. The dispensing head further includes porous material impervious to the product and capable of allowing passage of air into the container via the porous material. The porous material is at least partially exposed on an exterior surface of the dispensing head. In addition, part of the valve is formed of the porous material and the porous material at least partially defines the opening on the dispensing head. Also disclosed is a dispenser including the dispensing head and a container containing the product. The dispensing head is provided on the container.

    • A dispensing apparatus for fluids from a storage vessel in which air flows into the storage vessel (1) while the fluid is being dispensed to compensate pressure.     • A device for dispensing corrosive liquids accurately and without spilling can be held in one hand while the other hand holds a vessel into which liquid is dispensed. The device has a tubular barrel with a thumb stop at a top end and a cap at a bottom end for connection to a liquid container. A hand grip fits over the barrel and is slidable thereon with a connection link to a plunger slidable within a cavity in the barrel. A liquid intake tube extends down from the base of the cavity in the barrel, through the cap, into the liquid container and has a first non-return valve therein, such that sliding movement of the hand grip upwards on the barrel draws liquid through the intake tube into the cavity, and a liquid dispensing tube connected to the cavity, with a second non-return valve therein, such that sliding movement of the hand grip downwards on the barrel dispenses liquid from the cavity through the dispensing tube.

    • A liquid dispensing nozzle assembly for mounting on a squeezable liquid container and dispenser to maintain liquid in sterile condition during storage and repeated dispensing from the container, includes a conduit having a liquid discharge port leading to the ambience for discharge of the liquid therethrough to dispense liquid from the container. The liquid discharge port is formed in a discharge structure which eliminates microbial contamination of the discharge port during dispensing and storage of the liquid. Embodiments of the liquid dispensing nozzle have a liquid discharge structure including a composition comprising an antimicrobial component, in order to maintain microbially sterile condition of any liquid retained against the discharge structure following liquid dispensing therefrom. Additional embodiments of the nozzle structure of the invention include a tubular passage from which the liquid is discharged in which the tubular passage has a collapsible end portion defining a normally closed liquid dishcarge port. Tensioning members maintain tension on the end portion to retain the normally collapsed configuration thereof, while allowing the discharge port to be resiliently opened by exertion of hydraulic pressure, overcoming the imposed tension, from the liquid flow discharged therethrough.
