    • A chocolate manufacturing machine includes a conveyor to advance a plurality of chocolate molding trays (30) from a chocolate dispenser to a chocolate cooler downstream therefrom. The chocolate molding trays (30) each have a face defining at least one chocolate mold cavity and have a back (41) opposite the face. A plurality of face alignment features are associated with the face of each chocolate molding tray. Further, a plurality of back alignment features (35a, 35b, 36a, 36b) are associated with the back (41) of each chocolate molding tray (30). The face and back alignment features permit alignment of an adjacent pair of chocolate molding trays in a face-to-face, back-to-back, and face-to-back relationship. The face and back alignment features may also permit vertical stacking and unstacking of adjacent pairs of the chocolate molding trays but limit horizontal movement thereof.

    • A process and apparatus for the gelatin coating of medicaments including a conveyer system (100) to advance pallets (200) through a loading station (10), dipping station (20), dryer station (34), reorientation station (50) and unloading station (70). Medicamenets to be coated are loaded into a pallet (200) at the loading station (10) and advanced to a first dipping station (20) where a vacuum is applied to secure the medicaments to the pallet. The pallet is inverted and a first portion of each of the medicaments is dipped into a coating. The pallet is then returned to its upright position, the vacuum removed, and the coating dried. The medicaments are then transferred from the first pallet (200) to a second pallet (102) by a reorientation mechanism (59) so a second portion of the medicaments are coated in a second dipping station (60). The medicaments are advanced through the dryer station (34) and then ejected from the second pallet into a container (70).

    • Container dispensing system sequentially dispense containers from a nested stack. The systems have a support frame for accepting multiple stack of nested containers aligned in a cross-machine direction having upper and lower opposed pairs of gates. The gates are coupled to the support frame and extend in the cross-machine direction. Each upper and lower opposed pairs of gates defines gate openings sized so as to capture and support a lowermost and a next lowermost container in the stack respectively. A controller (e.g., a programmable controller operatively coupled to pneumatic solenoid valves or the like) controllable moves the upper and lower opposed pairs of gates between their gated and released positions such that (i) the upper and lower pairs of opposed gates are each in the gated position so as to respectively capture and support the lowermost and next lowermost containers in the stack, (ii) the lower pair of opposed gates is moved into the released position while the upper pair of opposed gates remains in the gated position so as to allow the lowermost container to drop by gravity from the stack thereof, and thereafter (iii) the lower pair of opposed gates returns to the gated position before the upper pair of opposed gates moves to the released positions to allow the stack to drop onto and be supported by the lower pair of opposed gates. The system most preferably includes a container stripping assembly for stripping the lowermost container from the stack.

    • A feeder for feeding edible cones which are enclosed within protective paper cones or sleeves. The enclosed cones are received from a suitable source of supply and formed into rows in receiving sockets on a machine where they are to be filled, treated and sealed. The feeder is such as to ensure feeding of both the protective sleeve and edible cone into the particular socket for receiving it, by providing means for ensuring the stripping of a preceeding sleeve from a following sleeve and the stripping of a preceding cone from a following sleeve in case it adheres thereto if its enclosing sleeve is stripped therefrom.
