摘要： Bis(3-nitrophenoxy) derivatives of aromatic or bridged aromatic hydrocarbons are derived from m-dinitrobenzene and dihydroxy derivatives of said hydrocarbons and certain substituted derivatives thereof by a condensation reaction in dipolar aprotic solvents in the presence of bases. The bis(3-nitrophenoxy) derivatives and derivatives obtained are successively reduced to afford bis-(3-aminophenoxy)derivatives. This is a new method for reacting the dihydroxy-derivatives with m-dinitrobenzene, and hence can prepare novel bis(3-aminophenoxy) derivatives such as 4,4'-bis(3-amino-phenoxy)biphenyl, 1-[4-(3-aminophenoxy)phenyl]-1,3,3-trimethyl-6-(3-aminophenoxy)indan, 6,6'-bis(3-aminophenoxy)3,3,3',3'-tetramethyl-1,1'spirobiindan, and methyl substituted 2,2'-bis[4-(3-aminophenoxy)phenyl]propane.

摘要： A novel aromatic bismaleimide of the formula (I): ##STR1## wherein X is ##STR2## where R.sub.1 R.sub.2, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 are a hydrogen atom or a methyl group. The bismaleimide is prepared by reacting an aromatic diamine having the formula (II): ##STR3## wherein X is the same as in the formula (I), with maleic anhydride and then conducting the ring-closing reaction of the resultant aromatic bismaleamic acid.

摘要： Noval diamines, 2,6-bis(3-aminophenoxy)pyridine and 2,6-bis-(4-aminophenoxy)pyridine, are provided and the method of their preparation is disclosed. These diamines are useful as raw materials for polyimide.These diamines can be prepared by the reaction of 2,6-dichloropyridine or 2,6-dibromopyridine with 3-aminophenol or 4-aminophenol in aprotic polar solvents in the presence of bases.Besides, 2,6-bis(3-aminophenoxy)pyridine can also be prepared by the reaction of 2,6-dicholorpyridine or 2,6-dibromopyridine with 3-nitrophenol, followed by reducing resultant 2,6-bis(3-nitrophenoxy)pyridine.

摘要： An outboard motor generally comprises an engine holder, an engine disposed above the engine holder, an oil pan disposed below the engine holder, and an engine cover covering the engine holder, the engine and the oil pan so as to define a space between the engine and the engine cover. The above-mentioned space between the engine and the engine cover includes a space portion defined by the cylinder head, the exhaust projection portion and the engine cover and the electrical equipment part is disposed in this space portion.

摘要： A precoated steel sheet having improved corrosion resistance and formability is disclosed, which comprises a Zn- or Zn alloy-plated steel sheet having on the plated surface either a colloidal silica-containing chromate undercoat layer and a polyhydroxypolyether resin-based topcoat of 0.3 to 10 .mu.m in thickness in which resin is derived by polycondensation of a dihydric phenol component selected from a mononuclear dihydric phenol, dinuclear dihydric phenol, and a mixture of both, with an epihalohydrin or a non-colloidal material-containing chromate underlayer and an epoxy resin based topcoat containing colloidal silica of a thickness of from 0.3-1.6 .mu.m in thickness. In spite of the absence of zinc powder, the precoated steel sheet can be satisfactorily welded by resistance welding when the thickness of the topcoat layer is not greater than 2.5 .mu.m, and even with such a thin topcoat, the precoated steel sheet retains its improved corrosion resistance and formability. The precoated steel sheet can be satisfactorily finish-coated by electrodeposition. The undercoat layer is produced by a two stage reduction of Cr.sup.+6 to Cr.sup.+3 in an aqueous suspension containing chromic acid.
