摘要： A compatible CF card adapter (1) permits a thick or thin CF card (7) to be nested therewith. The CF card adapter includes pin contacts (4a) projecting from a housing (4b) for mating with the female contacts of the CF card. The CF card adapter has a slidable contact cover (4f) spring-biased to enclose the pin contacts (4a). The contact cover (4f) is responsive to insertion of the CF card for yieldingly withdrawing to expose the pin contacts (4a) behind, thereby permitting the pin contacts (4a) to be mated with the receptacle terminals of the CF card.

摘要： Disclosed are an improved card connector and a method of mounting the same on an associated printed circuit board. The card connector comprises an insulating housing having contact pieces fixed therein and a shield plate detachably fixed to the surface of the insulating housing. Such a card connector can be mounted to the associated printed circuit board by: soldering the leads of the contact pieces to selected conductors in the printed circuit; and then soldering the leads of the shield to another selected conductors in the printed circuit. The two-step separate soldering permits the contact-to-conductor solderings to be checked in the absence of overhanging grounding leads. Therefore, incomplete or defective solderings, if found in the contact-to-conductor solderings would be fixed with much less difficulty than the cluster of overhanging and underlying lead-to-conductor solderings.

摘要： The present invention provides a single information recording and reproducing apparatus that is used to record data to multiple disks that are to be recorded on using different wavelengths. More specifically, the present invention provides an apparatus that accurately discriminates disk types while preventing disk damage and accidental recording of data during the disk type discrimination operation. The disk type is determined using the intensity of light reflected from the disk. Information is encoded using an encoder corresponding to the disk type. The resulting signal is used to drive a laser corresponding to the disk type, and information is recorded.

摘要： A surface mounting type of connector for IC cards has a connector main body having two sets of electric contacts for connection to electric contacts of respective connectors provided in two IC cards. Contact portions of each set of the electric contacts are disposed in two rows in one direction to lie in a direction perpendicular to the one direction. The connector main body has a fitting recess formed in a lower portion thereof. Terminal portions of the two sets of electric contacts are arranged so as to lie exposed in two rows parallel to each other along facing side walls of the fitting recess. A terminal member having two parallel rows of terminal pieces to be connected to a wiring circuit board is fitted into the fitting recess such that the terminal pieces urgingly contact the terminal portions.

The connector has a plurality of contacts which are divided into plural sets.
