摘要： A plurality of photo detectors are arranged outside the display screen of a projection display apparatus having a built-in digital convergence correction system and a function for adjusting data in the frame memory so as to coincide the photoelectric devices of the photo detectors with the adjustment patterns is provided. The adjusted data when the convergence on the entire screen of the display is adjusted and the adjusted data when the convergence is adjusted by the adjustment function before misconvergence is generated are memorized beforehand. When misconvergence is generated, the convergence is adjusted by the adjustment function again, and a corresponding correction value is obtained on the photo detector by calculating the adjusted data at this time and the prememorized adjusted data, and a correction value on the entire screen is obtained by executing an interpolation calculation from this correction value, and the misconvergence on the entire screen is corrected.

摘要： The digital convergence correction device is used for a projection-type television receiver having a Braun tube with an aspherical surface fluorescent screen and a projection lens system with an aspherical surface plastic lens attached to the display screen of th Braun tube. In the digital convergence correction device, a digital memory stores digital correction data corresponding to correction values at the convergence adjustment points on the display screen that is divided in the horizontal and vertical directions. A multiplexer reads the digital correction data out of the digital memory, and implements the time division multiplexing for the data. A D/A converter receives the multiplexed data from the multiplexer, and converts it into an analog signal. The device is provided with sample-holding circuits for making coincident timing for the outputs of the time division multiplexing process, so that no phase shift arises at the time division process and multi-channel time division process is made possible. Among numbers of time divisions, an optimal one can be chosen to meet the system requirement. Consequently, the number of D/A converters is reduced thereby to down-cost the digital convergence correction device. The convergence correction device operates in accordance with the correction signals held in the respective sample-holding circuits.

摘要： A convergence correcting apparatus is used in a projection television receiver including a CRT having an aspherical fluorescent screen and a projection lens apparatus which is attached to the display screen of the CRT and has aspherical plastic lenses. In the digital convergence correcting apparatus, a digital memory stores digital correction data corresponding to correction values of convergence adjustments points indicative of a plurality of points on the display screens divided in the horizontal and vertical directions. A multiplexer reads out predetermined digital correction data from the digital memory and time sharingly multiplexes. At least one digital/analog converter receives the time sharingly multiplexed data from the multiplexer and generates an analog signal. Sample and hold circuits extract a predetermined correction signal from the analog output of the digital/analog converter and sample and hold them. The convergence correcting apparatus is driven in accordance with the respective correction signals held by the sample and hold circuits.

摘要： A gas discharge display panel which provides sufficient contrast and good accuracy and is high in yield. When a voltage is applied to auxiliary discharge electrodes, auxiliary discharge occurs in an auxiliary discharge space and excited charged particles communicate with a main discharge space through a priming path made in a discharge space separation bulkhead. In this state, when an alternating voltage is applied between bus electrodes on a front substrate, main discharge occurs in the main discharge space, causing Xe atoms in the sealed gas to generate ultraviolet rays, causing a phosphor to emit light. However, since the auxiliary discharge is shielded by a bulkhead and a barrier rib, the phosphor does not emit light when only auxiliary discharge occurs.

摘要： A deflection yoke having cancelling loop coils for reducing undesired portions of a horizontal deflection magnetic field generated by a deflection yoke body without mislanding. The cancelling loop coils generate a cancelling magnetic field which includes two peaks in a front region and a rear region of the deflection yoke body in which the undesired field portions exist, respectively. The peaks are opposite in direction to the horizontal magnetic field generated by the deflection yoke body, respectively, with same ratio to the deflection magnetic field, so that the undesired magnetic field portions are under-corrected in the front portion and over-corrected in the rear portion.
