摘要： A plurality of user terminals regularly accessing Internet Relay Chat (IRC) services are also in communication with a service selecting host. The service selecting host is configured to collect data from the plurality of user terminals. The collected data includes information about the users at the user terminals and information about the user terminals activity in the accessing of the IRC services. The service selecting host compiles and sorts the collected data concerning IRC services to produce information provided to the user terminals. The information provided to the user terminals allows users at the user terminals to more easily select sorted IRC services.

摘要： The present invention provides a software installing apparatus and a software installing method that facilitate the use of cooperatively operable software by automatically setting the user parameters, even in an environment where the users can connect or disconnect their PCs to the network frequently, and provides a recording medium storing a program for realizing the method. A client object includes an identifier storing part for storing the identifier of a computer on which a server object corresponding to the client object operates. The client object is transmitted to a computer. When the client object starts in the computer, the computer where the corresponding server object starts can be easily identified.

摘要： An ISDN interface unit interconnects a data processing unit, an ISDN, and an analog telephone and includes a DMA request signal generation circuit for generating a DMA request signal from an 8 kHz clock signal from an ISDN line. In accordance with the request signal, PCM coded data input from the ISDN line is transferred, using DMA, to a memory of the data processing unit or vice versa. Alternatively, the ISDN interface unit includes a code conversion circuit. Data stored in the data processing unit are converted to nonlinear PCM coded data and transmitted to the ISDN line or vice versa. 摘要： A key management device for communicating with relay devices is provided, and one of the relay devices, which is communicating with a communication device based on master key information, transmits the master key information to the key management device. If the communication with the communication device has been enabled, the other relay devices makes a request to the key management device for transmission of the master key information. Then, the key management device transmits the master key information, which has been received from the one of the relay devices, to the other relay device, and then the other relay device can communicates with the communication device using the received master key information.
