摘要： A camera mountable with a film cartridge having a light block lid rotatable about a vertical axis to open and close the film cartridge. The camera includes a cartridge chamber with accommodates the film cartridge, an engaging member which is rotatably provided in the cartridge chamber and engageable with the light blocking lid when the film cartridge is place in the cartridge chamber, and an actuator which actuates the engaging member to open and close the light blocking lid. The actuator includes a motor which generates a driving force, a crank member driven by the motor, and a link member which operatively connects the crank member with the engaging member. A fork is provided in the cartridge chamber which is engageable with a spool provided in the film cartridge, and a film take-up chamber is provided with a take-up spool for taking up the film. A transmission mechanism transmits a driving force from the motor to the crank member, the take-up spool and the fork, and has a first transmission route transmitting the driving force to the crank member, a second transmission route transmitting the driving force to the take-up spool to wind the film, and a third transmission route transmitting the driving force to the fork to rewind the film. A changer changes over the first, second and third transmission routes.

摘要： A camera with a cartridge chamber for accepting a film cartridge with film and a cover for covering the cartridge chamber. The camera has a locking mechanism that locks the cover when the cover is in a closed state and a releasing device for releasing the cover from a closed state. The locking mechanism includes a pivotable member having on one end a locking portion engageable with the cover to lock the cover in the closed state and on the other end a contact portion. A biasing member urges the pivotal member in a locking direction so that the locking portion engages the cover. The releasing member includes a motor is used to open the cover. The motor drives a crank member that is connected to an unlocking member via a link member, which is operable to rotate the pivotal member in a direction opposite to the cover closing direction to open the cover.

A force applying device applies force to a film cartridge inserted in the cartridge bay in the direction in which the film cartridge is ejected out of the cartridge bay. A prevention member prevents the film cartridge from flying completely out of the cartridge bay due to the force applied by the force applying device, such that only a part of the film cartridge protrudes out of the camera. The prevention member operates in response to the opening of the cartridge bay cover, and when the cartridge bay cover is partially open, the prevention member is set at a position at which it prevents the film cartridge from flying out. When the cartridge bay cover is fully open, the prevention member is set at a retracted position to enable the removal of the film cartridge.

The displacement of the defocus amount corresponding to the change of a relative location of the object to the photographic lens is approximately proportional to the displacement of the output signal of the defecting device of the defocus amount, so that it is possible to know by detecting the defocus amount whether or not the photographic lens is properly focused and where the object is located in a photographic field if not focused.

Thereafter, by the input of zoom operation key, the movement of the variator to the wide side, namely zooming, becomes possible with the range of movement automatically limited in a prescribed range in order to prevent shading due to the attachment of the teleconverter. Meanwhile, if a wide converter is attached, the variator is similarly moved to the wide end. Thereafter, the movement of the variator is prohibited regardless of the presence/absence of the input of the zoom operation key. When the teleconverter or the wide converter is detached, the limit of the range of movement or prohibition of the movement of the variator is cancelled and usual zooming operation is retrieved.
