    • A method and apparatus for amplifying a feedforward linear power using a pilot tone hopping are disclosed. The method in a feedforward linear power amplifier system first determines an operating frequency signal for amplification from a radio frequency (RF) signal applied to the linear amplifier system. A pilot frequency signal is determined from the previously determined operating frequency signal, and the decided pilot frequency signal is hopped into an upper sideband or lower sideband of the operational frequency bandwidth of the applied RF signal and the determined pilot frequency signal is output to an input port of a main amplifier. One typical advantage of the method is that distortion component suppression characteristics in the wide operating frequency bandwidth are obtained by only one pilot signal generator and use of a control/detect device leads to simplicity of the circuit.

    • In a head drum assembly mounting structure on a deck of a tape recorder, a plurality of connecting holes and positioning holes are formed in a drum boss provided at a lower portion of a fixing drum, and a plurality of coupling holes and positioning pins are formed in a drum base which is slant disposed on a main base. By using the positioning holes and the positioning pins as positioning means which are connected to each other in complementary fashion, the coupling holes of the drum base and the connecting holes of the drum boss are aligned with each other, and by fastening a screw into such aligned coupling holes and the connecting holes, the head drum assembly can be directly coupled to the main base while being slant disposed with respect to the main base. Accordingly, any possible damage to a lead line is prevented, and assembly efficiency is improved, while the number of parts and the manufacturing cost are reduced.

    • An RF signal offset circuit using a half wavelength transmission line is provided. The RF signal offset circuit includes an RF transformer having an input coil and an output coil. The input coil has first and second input ports. The output coil has first and second output ports. One of the output ports is grounded. A half wavelength transmission line having first and second ends is connected in parallel to the input coil of the RF transformer. First and second resistance devices are respectively connected between the first end of the transmission line and the first input port of the RF transformer and between the second end of the transmission line and the second input port of the RF transformer.

    • A cassette loading apparatus in a tape recorder includes a deck on opposite side surfaces of which a loading slit and a protrusion are formed. A cassette holder on which a tape cassette is received is provided and has a pair of side surfaces, each of the side surfaces having a guide protrusion which is slidably combined with a corresponding one of the loading slits. A loading shaft arm is provided and includes side arms each rotatably connected to a corresponding one of the opposite side surfaces of the deck and having a first slot with which the guide protrusion of the cassette holder is combined, and a second slot with which the protrusion of the deck is combined, and a beam for connecting the side arms. A driving mechanism is provided for rotating the side arms. Therefore, the total number of components is reduced, and productivity is enhanced because of the simple assembly. A method of assembling the cassette loading apparatus is also provided.
