    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermoplastic elastomer composition, excellent in air impermeability, excellent durability and flexibility.SOLUTION: The composition contains: (A) at least one kind of halogenated elastomer containing isobutylene; (B) at least one kind of nylon resin having a melting point of about 170°C to about 260°C; and (C) a polymeric nylon plasticizer having a low molecular weight (here, (1) at least one kind of elastomer is present forming a dispersion phase of small vulcanized particles in a continuous nylon phase; and (2) the elastomer particles are formed by dynamic vulcanization). While the level of high impermeability which can be achieved by using the nylon resin, vulcanized dynamically by the use of the nylon plasticizer having the low molecular weight, in the composition and the halogenated elastomer containing isobutylene can be maintained, an improved mixture and a rubber dispersion can be obtained. The composition is valuable in the application to a tire inner liner, a barrier film or layer as well as a hose and the like.
