    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heavy-duty pneumatic tire capable of solving various problems relating to use of zinc-plated bead wire, especially bad adhesiveness.
      SOLUTION: This pneumatic tire is composed of: a circumferential bead core rubber and a cover rubber arranged around a zinc-plated polygonal bead core, and a carcass ply including brass-plated steel cord formed thereon. The circumferential bead core is constituted of a rubber composition including an organic chlorinated compound containing 2 to 5 pts.wt. chlorine content to 100 pts.wt. diene rubber. The cover rubber, constituted of a semi-cured rubber composition excluding the organic chlorinated compound the thickness of which is 0.5 to 3 mm in an unvulcanized state, is arranged at least within a range where the carcass cord and the circumferential bead core rubber are arranged adjacent to each other, and the shortest distance between the bead wire and the carcass cord is 0.5 to 2.5 mm after vulcanization.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition simultaneously satisfying good processability, high abrasion resistance, high physical properties at break before and after ageing, and high set resistance.
      SOLUTION: The rubber component comprises 70-20 pts. wt. of a natural rubber and/or a polyisoprene rubber and 30-80 pts. wt. of a polybutadiene rubber having a 5% toluene solution viscosity of 50-75 mPa×s at 25°C. The rubber composition comprises 100 pts. wt. of the total of the rubber component, and incorporated therewith, 60-90 pts. wt. of carbon black having a smaller particle size than that of HAF grade carbon black, 1-2 pts. wt. of sulfur and 0.2-1 pt. wt. of an alkylphenol disulfide.
