    • A connector includes a terminal which includes a base with an arm extending inclinedly therefrom and a first contact portion protrudes from a top of a front end of the arm, The front end extends inclinedly from the first contact portion and has a sharp tip. A plastic frame has insertion slots for receiving the terminals and a wire space defined in a top of the plastic frame so as to receive wires therein and a plurality of receiving spaces are defined in the plastic frame and communicate with the insertion slots. A plurality of access slots are defined in the top of the plastic frame and the first contact portions of the terminals extend from the access slots so as to contact the wires. A cavity is defined in a front of each of the receiving spaces so as to receive the front end of the terminal.

    • A connector structure, accommodating a flat cable via a front end thereof is disclosed. The flat cable defines a recess at each lateral side thereof; and the connector structure includes a connection base, a lid member, a plurality of terminals, and a pair of latch members being made of metallic materials. The connection base has a base portion, a pair of sidewalls extending backwards from two lateral sides of the base portion respectively. The lid member includes a pair of pivotal shafts pivoted respectively to the sidewalls of the connection base, and a pair of brake shafts each being adjacent to an inner side of each pivotal shaft. Each of the latch members is secured to each sidewall of the connection base, and has a latch arm. After the lid member covers over, the brake shafts actuate the latch arms in order to engage the recesses of the flat cable.

    • A connector is assembled by providing a base and an earth terminal unit which is located to be aligned with the base and the earth terminal unit is pressed into the base to let a front end of the earth terminal unit contact an inside of the base. A casing is then provided to be in alignment with the base and then press the casing into the base. A signal terminal unit is then provided which is in alignment with the base. The signal terminal unit is then pressed into the base and a front end of the signal terminal unit contacts the inside of the base. By the method, the signal terminal unit is securely connected to the base.

    • A connector with a locking mechanism includes an insulating body, a plurality of terminals, a metallic casing and a pair of locking pieces. Both sides of the insulating body are provided with two accommodating troughs. The insulating body is provided with pivot shafts in the two accommodating troughs respectively. The terminals are provided in the insulating body. The metallic casing is provided on the insulating body. The two locking pieces are provided in the two accommodating troughs respectively. Each locking piece is provided with a pivot hole, and the pivot hole is fitted with the pivot shaft of the insulating body. The locking piece is formed with an elastic arm by extending from a wall surface of the pivot hole. The elastic arm abuts against the pivot shaft. Via this arrangement, the locking piece is simple in structure, and can be manufactured easily, thereby reducing production costs.

    • A grounding terminal for electrical connector, which can reduce noise, includes a main body, a wing portion and a coupling portion. A connector insulator includes signal terminal openings and L-shaped or U-shaped grounding terminal openings. The wing portion and the coupling portion are extended from both lower side edges of the main body, respectively. Thus, the grounding terminal can be engaged with the L-shaped or U-shaped grounding terminal opening. Although the grounding terminal is not in U shape, the grounding terminal and the grounding terminal opening surround the signal terminals. Therefore, the grounding terminal still provides an EMI shielding similar to that of a conventional U-shaped grounding terminal.
