摘要： A thin film structure, such as a magnetic recording media, having a magnetic layer and a stress-effecting layer is disclosed. The stress-effecting layer induces a magneto-elastic anisotropy in the magnetic layer. The stress-effecting layer can be activated by the application of an external stress and/or strain. The induced magneto-elastic anisotropy can transiently achieve and/or enhance a tilt angle of the medium. The medium can be a perpendicular magnetic recording medium, a longitudinal magnetic recording medium and/or a tilted magnetic recording medium. The magnetic recording media is suitable for use with a data storage system, such as a HAMR data storage system.

摘要： Methods and systems for clustering information items using nonnegative tensor factorization are disclosed. A processing device receives one or more class labels, each corresponding to an information item, a selection for a nonnegative tensor factorization model having an associated objective function and one or more parameter values, each corresponding to one of one or more penalty constraints. The processing device determines a constrained objective function based on the objective function associated with the selected nonnegative tensor factorization model, the one or more parameter values and the one or more class labels and including the one or more penalty constraints. The processing device determines clusters for the plurality of information items by evaluating the constrained objective function. Pairwise constraints may be received in addition to or instead of the class labels.

An image cube, having three axes representing a medical patient's body parts, imaging technology and image date, may be displayed on a visual display. Image piles of icons or thumbnail images may be positioned within the image cube, according to the three axes. By fixing the body parts axis on a specific body part, an image plane may be selected from the image cube. The selected image plane replaces the image cube in the visual display, including only image piles of the selected body part, organized according to axes indicating imaging technology and image date. An image pile may be selected from the image plane, to replace the image plane on the visual display. Image pile operations allow the user to select from the image pile a desired image(s) for display.
