摘要： A silver halide photographic emulsion comprising grains, wherein 70% or more of the total projected area of the grains is occupied by silver halide grains each meeting requirements (a) to (d) below (a) the grain is composed of a tabular silver halide host grain having two mutually parallel main planes and aspect ratio of 2 or more, and a silver halide protrusion portion epitaxially junctioned on the surface of the host grain; (b) the silver bromide contents of both the host grain and the protrusion portion are 70 mol % or more; (c) the percentage of the silver amount in the protrusion is 12% or less of the silver amount in the host grain; and (d) the grain has a shallow electron-trapping zone.

摘要： The present invention provides a silver halide color photographic photosensitive material that includes coupler-containing sensitive emulsion layer units on a support. Each of the photosensitive emulsion layer units are constituted of at least two photosensitive emulsion layers having sensitivities which are different from each other. An emulsion layer of the highest sensitivity among the at least two photosensitive emulsion layers contains at least one silver halide emulsion in which tabular silver halide grains with an average aspect ratio of 3 or more substantially including dislocation lines account for 50% or more of the total projected areas. Photosensitive emulsion layers other than the emulsion layer of the highest sensitivity consist of a silver halide emulsion containing silver halide grains that account for 70% or more of the total projected areas and include host grains that satisfy a specific aspect ratio condition and epitaxially joined protrusions.

The imageable composition may include components such as a crosslinkable binder or a colorant. In one embodiment, the imageable composition further includes a colorant having a counter anion derived from a non-volatile acid. The present invention further provides an imageable element, which includes a substrate and an imageable coating on a surface of the substrate. Also provided is method of producing an imaged element according to the invention.

(R1—LnJA)m General formula (I) wherein A represents an acid group or a metal salt thereof, R1 represents an aliphatic group containing a linear aliphatic group having 6 or more carbon atoms as a partial structure thereof and having the total number of carbon atoms of 17 or more, L represents a bivalent group, J represents a linking group of n+m valence, n is an integer of 1 to 6, and m is an integer of 1 to 3. The molecular weight of surfactant of the formula (I) divided by m is 430 or greater.

This precursor has an image forming layer comprising a water-insoluble and alkali-soluble or alkali-dispersible resin. The image forming layer comprises at least a lower layer and an upper layer. A resin in at least one of the lower layer and the upper layer is a polyurethane including a recurring unit comprising a substituent having an acidic hydrogen atom and a recurring unit represented by the following formula: wherein Rf is an alkyl or polyether group in which at least 50% of hydrogen atoms have been fluorinated, R1 is a hydrogen atom, or a substituted or non-substituted alkyl group, m is 0 or 1 to 10, n is 1 to 30, and x is 1 to 4.
