    • A bail arm is provided in a spinning reel for guiding a fishing line to a spool and is mounted to a rotor that includes a first rotor arm and a second rotor arm opposed to the first rotor arm. The bail arm includes a first bail support member 40, a fixing shaft 43, a line roller 41, a fixing shaft cover 44, a fixing bolt 46, and an anti-rotation member 47. The first support member 40 is pivotally mounted to the first rotor arm. The fixing shaft 43 is fixed to the first support member 40. The fixing bolt 46 includes a non-circular head portion 46a and fixes the fixings shaft 43 to the first support member 40. The anti-rotation member 47 is detachably mounted to the first support member 40 and makes contact with the outer peripheral surface of the non-circular head portion 46a for preventing rotation of the fixing bolt 46.

    • A spool of a spinning reel includes a support member, a spool body, a drag mechanism, a first sealing member, and a second sealing member. The support member is detachably connected to a spool shaft. The spool body includes a housing recess that is frontally open and rotatably attached to the support member. The drag mechanism decelerates the spool body and includes a front friction portion that has a press washer with an inner peripheral surface opposed to an outer peripheral surface of a front portion of the support member. The press washer contacts a drag regulation member. The housing recess accommodates the friction portion. The first sealing member seals a gap created between the inner peripheral surface of the press washer and the outer peripheral surface of the support member. The second sealing member seals the gap created between the outer peripheral surface of the press washer and the housing recess.

The first and second rotor arms are formed such that a line L1 drawn along the pivot center axis of the fishing line guide portion of and a line L2 drawn through the width-wise center of the second rotor arm and substantially parallel to the first line L1 are on opposite sides of the rotational axis X of the body portion. A spinning reel rotor having a fishing line guide portion arranged on only one rotor arm can maintain rotational balance.

The drag adjustment knob includes first and second adjustment units, a transmission unit, and a pressing unit. The first adjustment unit includes a first female screw that screws onto the first male screw. The transmission unit is non-rotatably but axially movably mounted onto the spool shaft to be in contact with the first adjustment unit, and includes a multi-thread second male screw. The second adjustment unit includes a second female screw, which screws onto the second male screw and has a greater screw lead than that of the first female screw. The pressing unit is disposed between the second adjustment unit and the drag mechanism so as to come into contact with both, and is non-rotatable but axially movable with the spool shaft.
