摘要： PURPOSE:To facilitate mounting and removal and enhance the deodorizing efficiency by furnishing a humidity adjusting part on the gas inlet side in a deodorizing box, furnishing a deodorizing chamber on the gas outlet side, and installing an air valve at the gas outlet or inlet of the deodorizing chamber. CONSTITUTION:A humidity adjusting part 15 is furnished on the gas inlet side in a deodorizing box 10, and on the gas outlet side therein a deodorizing chamber 12 is provided wherein the hollow of a multi-bulkhead constituent body 16 is filled with an adsorbent A. An air valve 13 is installed at the outlet or inlet of this deodorizing chamber 12. A partition wall 19 is furnished between the deodorizing chamber 12 in the deodorizing box 10 and a water seal trap 18, trip, and mesh plates 15a are fixed above and below the humidity adjusting part 15 of the deodorizing chamber 12 for supporting the adsorbent A and a humidity adjusting agent B and also for admitting smooth passage of odor gas. When the rising pressure of the generated odor gas exceeds a certain level, the air valve 13 of the deodorizing box 10 is opened to make deodorization while the odor gas passes the chamber 12, and it is exhausted from a through hole 22 in the lid 20 of a manhole.

By using compost mixed with rice hulls retaining original form, the deodorizing efficiency of methylmercaptan of sulfur-containing offensive smell gas is especially enhanced and effect not generating the lowering of deodorizing capacity due to the lowering of pressure loss is developed even in the long-term operation of a deodorizing tower.

摘要： PURPOSE:To remove hydrogen sulfide and methyl mercaptan and to enable proliferation and maintenance of odor removal activity even in the practical environment by bringing microorganisms belonging to Ochrobactrum genus into contact with odorous substance containing ions in a method for deodorizing the same. CONSTITUTION:Odorous substance containing hydrogen sulfide and methyl mercaptan or the like is generated in the process for decomposing and treating organic substance by microorganisms of drainage treatment in a sewage disposal plant. These are dangerous toxicant substance for organisms and severely regulated from being discharged in the circumferential environment. Therefor, the odorous substance is brought into contact with microorganisms belonging to Ochrobactrum genus, decomposed and removed. Further, since the microorganisms belonging to Ochrobactrum genus are subordinate nutritive microorganisms, culture is easy and the microorganisms are easily handled. Furthermore, hydrogen sulfide and methyl mercaptan are decomposed and removed even in the conditions of acidity caused in the process of deodorization, to say nothing of growth in a neutral region. The method is easy in management and practical.
