    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pulse testing device capable of reducing time of an operator related to measurement and monitoring of OTDR when fusing and joining of an optical fiber are checked.SOLUTION: An optical pulse testing device connected to one end of an optical fiber is configured to emit pulse light for measuring the pulse light reflected by the other end of the optical fiber in a time domain, and to display measurement results of the reflected pulse light as a measurement waveform on a display screen with a vertical axis of a light power and a horizontal axis of a distance. The optical pulse testing device includes: a checkpoint cursor determination section for setting a checkpoint cursor at a desired distance position on the display screen; a position comparison section for comparing an edge portion position of the measurement waveform with the set position of the checkpoint cursor, and for outputting a detection signal upon detecting that the edge portion position of the measurement waveform is over the set position of the checkpoint cursor; and a detection information output section for outputting the detected result to the outside based on the detection signal.
