摘要： A modular drive train is selectively securable within a wearable injector. The drive train includes a chassis and a telescoping driving assembly mounted within the chassis. The driving assembly includes a first shaft rotatable relative to the chassis, and a second shaft connected with the first shaft and axially movable relative thereto. Rotation of the first shaft axially drives the second shaft. The chassis includes one of a bearing and an elastically expandable collar projecting axially forward into the chassis from a rear end thereof, and the first shaft includes the other of the bearing and the elastically expandable collar projecting axially rearwardly from a rear end thereof. The collar is configured to elastically snap over an interference element of the bearing, whereby engagement of the collar with the bearing axially secures the first shaft to the chassis and permits rotation of the first shaft about the bearing.

摘要： A method and assembly are disclosed for interfacing between a drug cartridge and a drug delivery device. Optionally, the drug delivery device includes a compartment that retains the cartridge during drug delivery and/or a stopper pushing assembly mounted to the device behind (proximal to) the compartment. In some embodiments, the cartridge may be inserted laterally into the compartment in front of the pushing assembly. For example, the delivery device may include a moving cartridge bay. The cartridge is optionally inserted into the bay and/or the bay and cartridge optionally move into the cartridge compartment. Alternatively or additionally, the cartridge compartment may have a proximal opening into which the cartridge is inserted and/or the pushing assembly may be moved into position after insertion of the cartridge. In some embodiments the cartridge may have a distal seal that is broken by a longitudinal movement.

摘要： An injector includes an injector housing, an activation button assembly translatable from an unactuated position to an actuated position and a cartridge door movably mounted to the injector housing between an open position and a closed position. A deflectable interference member has a resting position configured to limit an insertion depth of a cartridge into an interior channel of the cartridge door to a sealed position, wherein the cartridge piercing needle does not fully penetrate a pierceable septum of the cartridge. Movement of the activation button assembly from the unactuated position to the actuated position thereof, in the closed position of the cartridge door, deflects the interference element out of the resting position thereof, thereby enabling further advancement of the cartridge into the interior channel of the cartridge door to an unsealed position, wherein the cartridge piercing needle fully penetrates the pierceable septum.

The measurement may be used to determine a magnitude of the input parameter and a parameter of the control. For example, control of power input to a motor may be by pulse density modulation. An integral of current over time may sever as a measure of current magnitude and pulse density. The result of the integral may be used to determine the status of the injector. The status may include normal functions for example start of pumping and/or malfunctions such as occlusion or drive disengagement.

摘要： An aspect of some embodiments of the current application is a doorstop to a drug delivery apparatus that encourages a user of the apparatus to perform the proper usage steps in the proper order. For example, a user may be expected to receive an injector in a transport state, open it to an open state, insert a cartridge, and/or close the cartridge before operation. The doorstop may have an obstructing mode, optionally preventing closing of the door. The cartridge may optionally have a non-obstructing mode allowing closing of the door. Inserting the cartridge may optionally cause a doorstop to move from the obstructing mode to the non-obstructing mode. In the non-obstructing mode the doorstop may optionally prevent removal of the cartridge.
