    • The invention concerns an endoprosthesis made up of two parts connected to each other by overlapping plates. The reliability of the connection is increased by virtue of the fact that the ends (5) of the plates (3) physically lock into sockets (9) in the other part of the prosthesis. The plates (3) are secured in the engagement position by screws (7). The face (6) at which each plate contacts the other runs at an angle to the longitudinal axis of the connection zone (2) of the prosthesis. This allows the plates (3) to be made thicker near the point at which they join the prosthesis and hence gives good force-transmission characteristics. It also ensures that the ends (5) of the overlapping plates (3) engage in the sockets (9) without any play.

    • A finger splint for fixing the terminal interphalangeal joint in the extended position consists of a shell (1) which supports the terminal interphalangeal joint and the terminal phalanx from below and a shell (2) which supports the terminal interphalangeal joint and the middle phalanx from above. The shells are interconnected near the terminal interphalangeal joint by a ring part (3). The splint can be adapted to different degrees of swelling of the finger while retaining its shape, which is adapted to the anatomy of the finger. To this end, the top shell (2) is subdivided (longitudinal slit (5)) and the splint is made from an elastically or plastically deformable material.
