A volume of air enclosed by the driving piston (8) and the percussion piston (11) can be brought into connection with a crank chamber (7a) and an impacting chamber (7b) via idling openings (14), a recess (15) and longitudinal channels (16). This equalizes the pressure so that the impact tool shifts into an idling position. The timing of the shift into the idling position and the resumption of impaction can be precisely set by means of a control edge (17) fixed to the housing. The impact tool provided for by the invention is characterized by good starting characteristics and reliable change-over to idling.

摘要： A safety device is disclosed for the travelling gear of vibratory rollers that can be operated in a known manner by operating rods by means of a working lever (18) and that is forcibly switched off when a ratchet lever (4) is in a switching-off position from which it must be lifted by the operator against the force of a spring in order to release the working lever. A clutch (24) arranged between the working lever and the operating rods can be coupled by lifting the ratchet lever (4) and is loaded by a spring in its uncoupled position. The locking device has a first disk (25) provided with teeth (25a) on its front face interlockable with the working lever (18) and that is rotated when the working lever is actuated, as well as a second disk (26) opposite to the first, interlocked with the ratchet lever (4) and provided on its side opposite to the teeth (25a) with a rubber elastic lining. This locking device allows the working lever (18) to be gradually adjusted when the clutch (24) is coupled whereas the ratchet lever (4) is not yet fully lifted and locks the working lever (18) in its adjusted position when the ratchet lever has been fully lifted.
