摘要： Disclosed are an optical flow particle apparatus and method for conducting a particle light scatter-based immunoassay for simultaneously measuring the presence or amount of one or more analytes in a fluid sample which involves the use of a reagent set for each analyte including first binding molecule-coated monodisperse microspheres and second binding molecule-coated colloidal particles in which at least one of the first or second binding molecules specifically binds a respective one of the analytes. In the case where more than one analytes are detected, each monodisperse microperse microsphere of a particular reagent set has a light scatter signal resolvable from that of microspheres of any other reagent set. Changes determined in the distributions of the measured light scatter signals for individual microspheres of each of the particular reagent sets are indicative of the presence or amount of the respective analyte(s) in the sample.

摘要： A detection system may include a moveable tray configured to hold a multi-cell container of one or more reagents and/or one or more samples. A driving mechanism may be configured to reciprocate the tray in the first linear direction to agitate contents of the container, and may be configured to conduct electrochemiluminescence or other measurements on samples located in the container. The system may include an apparatus for retaining a container, a device for detecting the presence of a container, an apparatus for training a probe to locate and aspirate one or more reagents and/or one or more samples, a latching mechanism for moving parts in the system, and/or a positive displacement pump. A controller may be configured to control linear reciprocation of the tray to have one of a piecewise constant velocity profile and piecewise constant acceleration profile in which the number of piecewise constants does not exceed 24.

摘要： A sonic transducer includes a transducer body and a drive element coupled to the transducer body to produce a sonic output in response to an applied electrical input. A sense element is coupled to the sonic drive element and is configured to provide an electrical feedback output related to the sonic output. The electrical feedback output is adapted to be used to control the applied electrical input to the sonic drive element so as to control the energy delivered to the working area or tip of the transducer.
