    • The invention relates to a wind turbine system (1) comprising a support structure (3) with a plurality of wind turbine modules (2) mounted to the support structure (3). A control system (20) is arranged to enter a service mode wherein service can be performed in the wind turbine system (1) by applying a first control command (1CC) to a first subset of wind turbine modules (2') for terminating power production. A second control command (2CC) is applied to a second subset of wind turbine modules (2'') for bringing the second subset of wind turbine modules (2'') into an damping mode where each of the wind turbine modules of the second subset is operated and/or positioned to damp vibrations, actively and/or passively, of at least one wind turbine module (2*) of the first subset of wind turbine modules. An improved stability of the wind turbine system during service is thereby obtained.

    • A wind turbine system comprising a plurality of wind turbine modules mounted to a common support structure is described. The wind turbine system comprises a control system configured to designate at least one wind turbine module as a reference wind turbine module and to designate at least one wind turbine module as a regulative wind turbine module. The control system is further configured to operate the reference wind turbine module according to a predetermined power output level; and control the power output of the wind turbine system by controlling the power output of the regulative wind turbine module based on the power output of the reference wind turbine module.
