摘要： High intensity ultrasound (HIU) is used to facilitate surgical procedures, such as a laparoscopic partial nephrectomy, with minimal bleeding. An apparatus is configured to emit HIU from one or more transducers that are attached to a minimally invasive surgical instrument. Such a tool preferably can provide sufficient clamping pressure to collapse blood vessels' walls, so that they will be sealed by the application of the HIU, and by the resulting thermal ablation and tissue cauterization. Such an instrument can provide feedback to the user that the lesion is completely transmural and that blood flow to the region distal of the line of thermal ablation has ceased. Similar instruments having opposed arms can be configured for use in conventional surgical applications as well. Instruments can be implemented with transducers on only one arm, and an ultrasound reflective material disposed on the other arm.

摘要： An excavation apparatus for preparation of open cast land fill sites, comprises an excavation drum 10 for excavating a first layer of earth material 3, eg. a top soil layer, from a layer of sub soil 4; a drum 12 which cooperates with the drum 10 to reduce the size of large stones; a storage tank 5 for storing collected earth material; and a conveyor 6 for moving the earth material from the excavator drum to the storage tank. The apparatus can be self propelled by means of a chassis 8 and track assembly 9, which is motor driven. The apparatus may provide a substantially flat sub-soil layer, after excavation of a top soil layer, and reduce the amount of mixing of material between layers during excavation of a site.

摘要： A portable hoist lifting frame kit has a cross beam 12 that can support a hoist. The cross beam is secured to or supported by cantilever brackets 9 which in turn locate into extension arms 4. 摘要： A quick acting flare/swaging block comprising the two halves of a flareblock 5 and 6 as an integral part of and operated by a pair of locking or wratchet type pliers 1. The pliers when closed exert sufficient force on the block halves to be able to clamp metal pipes for flaring/swaging. The two halves of the flareblock 5 and 6 are profiled and rebated 7 and 8 respectively to ensure correct alignment when the quick block is in the closed position. The locking pliers offer good mechanical advantage when used with a flaring/ swaging tool during the flaring/swaging operation and also allow for quick release of the flared/swaged pipe on completion of the flaring/swaging operation.

The buoy has a main flotation part formed from flexible plastic filled with high density foam which provides the buoy with buoyancy, a core fabricated from high density resin which lines the hole to allow free running of the chain therethrough, a through pin which has an eye at each end, one for connection to the chain and one for the connection to a vessel and a stopper ball fabricated from high density resin which is formed around the pin to sit on top of the buoy and prevent the pin from passing through the hole. The buoy may be radar reflective and may have luminous impregnation in the outer flexible plastic of the main flotation part.

The ink jet printer system includes a movable carriage (14) and an ink jet print head (12) disposed on the carriage and having a piezoelectric element adapted to jet magnetic ink onto a recording medium. The magnetic ink preferably has a viscosity of more than 4 centipoise, and more preferably at least 8 centipoise. Additionally, a computer (30) may be in communication with the carriage for performing a printer monitor function. The method for performing such function includes monitoring the movement of the carriage and initiating a predetermined carriage movement after sensing a predetermined idle time from the carriage.
