摘要： The present invention provides an internal combustion engine that provides advantages of both typical 2-stroke engines and typical 4-stroke engines, but using a new design unlike either. The present engine provides for use of pistons as means for opening and closing intake and exhaust ports disposed on cylinder walls. It also provides two pistons per cylinder in an opposing configuration, such that one fuel explosion event causes motion of both pistons per cylinder, in opposite directions. Each piston of a cylinder is connected to a separate crankshaft, which completes a single revolution about its axis per fuel explosion event in a cylinder. In a single cycle of piston movement along the cylinder, a full cycle of ignition, exhaust, intake, and compression is achieved.

摘要： This invention relates to the field of opposed-piston engines having two pistons in one cylinder configured to have facing heads. Specifically, this is an engine with two crankshafts, two piston heads facing each other in a single cylinder, with the following features: compact size relative to a comparable design, improved or equivalent performance to a comparable design as a result of any of the following: locating crankshafts in a different plane from the cylinder axes; the use of shared duct structures; and the use of an embedded compressor chamber for efficient operation to cover all volumetric requirements, fulfilling the entire thermodynamic cycle, and performing in addition the sweeping and overloading of air or an air/fuel mixture in the cylinder combustion chamber in each revolution of two or more crankshafts, either with or without advancement between the crankshafts.

摘要： A multi-functional electromechanical device is provided. The device includes a first assembly that includes: 1) at least one motor/generator set configured to act as both: i) a motor to provide rotational assistance to an engine to which it is connected by converting electrical energy from an accumulator set to rotational energy, and ii) a generator configured to act to generate electrical energy to run parasitic devices of the engine to which it is connected, to store in an accumulator set, or to act in both of these capacities, using rotational energy provided by the engine or the transmission; and 2) a second assembly that includes: at least one energy distributor configured to: i) use rotational energy provided by at least one motor/generator set to assist an engine to which it is connected or a transmission to which it is connected to rotate, or ii) use rotational energy of an engine or a transmission to which it is connected to provide rotational energy to at least one motor/generator set to convert the rotational energy into electrical energy for use by parasitic devices or for storage in an accumulator set.
