    • A control system for controlling the opening of a throttle valve of a vehicle comprises a throttle valve actuating mechanism and a diaphragm apparatus including a diaphragm member which divides the casing of the diaphragm apparatus into two chambers, the first chamber being communicated through an orifice and air chamber with an intake manifold leading to an engine while the second chamber being communicated directly with the intake manifold.When a vehicle is decelerated, the vacuum in the intake manifold is increased with the result that the vacuum in the second chamber is increased while the vacuum in the first chamber does not increase, because of the presence of the orifice and air chamber so that the vacuum in the second chamber will become higher than that in the first chamber, pulling the diaphragm member toward the second chamber, which drives the throttle valve actuating mechanism to actuate the throttle valve to open to feed more air fuel mixture, thus preventing misfire. It follows that the discharge of unburned hydrocarbons will be reduced.

    • A throttle opener comprises a diaphragm apparatus installed between a throttle valve provided within a throttle bore and an air pump for delivering air to an air injection device for controlling the opening of the throttle to enhance the burning of an air-fuel mixture, thereby decreasing the amount of unburned hydrocarbons in the exhaust gas. The diaphragm apparatus includes a diaphragm member movably fixed therein, responsive to the high delivery pressure from the air pump at the beginning of deceleration period of a vehicle to open the throttle valve slightly enough to prevent misfire of the mixture, thus decreasing the amount of unburned hydrocarbons in the exhaust gas.

    • The invention relates to a time division switching system which may transmit both voice and data signals. The data signals may be transmitted at a much higher speed than the voice signals, such as twice the speed, for example. To do this, the data signals are split into two time slots which are separately transmitted. Since the two time frames are so closely related, they must be transmitted within the same frame as a unit. This is done by a combination of two memory switches and control means for transmitting multi-element information. The two memory switches are used in an alternating sequence.

    • The invention relates to a distributed control-type electronic switching system which includes a first group of processors paired for act/standby redundancy, and a second group of master processors which are provided as single units. The first group of processors is connected to the speech-path switches and line and trunk circuits of a telephone switching system while the second processor group controls the various connections for the speech-path switches and the line and trunk circuits. Data communications between the first group of processors and the second group of processors is achieved on a distributed basis such that each processor of the first group designates a subset of the second group of processors as potential receivers, and conducts communications with the first non-busy processor of the subset.
