    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color measuring instrument not affected by a curvature, a measuring position, a direction and the like of an object, and occurring hardly an error in a measured value, when measuring the object applied with a metallic paint.
      SOLUTION: Irradiation light from a light source 30a is parallelized by a lens 32a within an incident plane 20a to irradiate a measuring point of a sample 70 thereafter. Reflected light from the measuring point is spectrally dispersed by spectroscopes 40a, 50a, 60a respectively to be thereafter photoreceived by photoreception part 42a, 52a, 62a. This color measuring instrument 10 is provided with a similar optical system also within an incident plane of which the incident direction to the measuring point is different each other. Photoreception results in the respective incident planes are averaged to reduce an influence due to the curvature, the measuring position, the direction and the like of the object, and the error of the measured result is reduced thereby.

      SOLUTION: A goniophotometer 20 performs color measurement of a coating color, generates reference coating-color data by combining the result with coating data, and stores it in a reference coating-color database 26. A local site 4 retrieves the reference coating-color data from the reference coating-color database 26. A color-matching coating-color conversion part 50 converts the reference coating-color data according to the characteristics of the color measuring device 40 on the site to generate device-adapted coating-color data. The color measuring device 40 performs color measuring of a product on the site, and outputs product-color measurement data. A color-matching determining part 52 determines whether the color of a product coincides with the color of a coating-color sample or not by comparing product-color measurement data with device-adapted coating-color data.
