    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyphase induction machine wherein harmonic components in a rotating magnetic field due to concentrated winding can be suppressed and productivity can be enhanced as compared with distributed winding.
      SOLUTION: The three-phase induction machine 10 includes a stator 11 and a rotor 12. The stator 11 is formed substantially in a cylindrical shape and multiple teeth 13 are provided inside the stator at equal intervals. The number of the provided teeth 13 is a multiple of 3, and stator winding 14 is wound on each tooth 13 by concentrated winding. The end 15 of each tooth 13 opposed to the rotor 12 is so formed that the magnetic reluctance is increased on the rear side in the direction of rotation of the rotor 12 by taking the following measure: the gap G between it and the rotor 12, that is, the gap G between the face of each end 15 opposed to the rotor 12 and the rotor 12 is so formed that the gap is larger on the rear side in the direction of rotation of the rotor 12. The teeth 13 are so formed that the phase advance angle is π/3 and the magnetic reluctance is varied.
