    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving force transmitting device capable of improving the accuracy in a gap as high as possible, and reducing an installation space of components in the axial direction. SOLUTION: This driving force transmitting device comprises a clutch mechanism 49 for controlling the transmission of torque between first rotating members 7, 27 and second rotating members 2, 20, an electromagnet 35 for engaging/disengaging the clutch mechanism 49, magnetic members 28, 30 mounted to the electromagnet 35 through gaps E1, F1, and unrotatable fixed members 1, 6. Further it comprises a first bearing 41 for supporting the electromagnet 35, locking mechanisms 69, 71, 72 for preventing the relative rotation of the fixed members 1, 6 and the electromagnet 35, and positioning mechanisms 65, 66 for radially positioning the electromagnet 35. A belleville spring 68 is mounted between the electromagnet 35 and the fixed member 1 for axially energizing the electromagnet 35, and the locking mechanisms 69, 71, 72 are mounted at an outer peripheral side of the electromagnet 35.
