    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester film preferably used as a material to form a metal container for foods, a film laminated metal plate excellent in canning workability and a metal container excellent in corrosion resistance and protection of packed foods; wherein the polyester film is excellent in heat resistance, can stably cover the metal plate despite of heat history in a canning process or the like, and is excellent in barrier function and corrosion resistance.
      SOLUTION: The polyester film is characterized in that, it shows, upon preparation of the film laminated metal plate by laminating the film on one side of a metal plate made of a tin-free steel, a coefficient of kinetic friction at 80°C on its surface of not more than 0.45 and an ethylene terephthalate cyclic trimer content in the film of not more than 0.70 wt.%, and a rate of dimensional change of not more than 2.0% after 2 minutes heat treatment at 210°C of the film laminated metal plate.
