    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration damper capable of reliably suppressing propagation of vibration generated in a vibrator to the inside of a car room. SOLUTION: An engine mount 3 is provided with a coupling metal piece 11 mounted on and engine, a holder 12 mounted on the car side, an insulator 13 situated between the coupling metal piece 11 and the holder 12 and mainly absorbing vibration propagated from an engine 1, and a vibration proofing mechanism 14 situated succeeding the insulator 13. The vibration proofing part 14 comprises a main liquid chamber 15, an orifice 16, a secondary liquid chamber 17, a balancing chamber 19, and an air chamber 21. A negative pressure and an atmosphere pressure are alternately introduced in the balancing chamber 19 through switching of ON and OFF of a VSV31. An expansion chamber 51 having a diameter larger than that of atmosphere pressure line 36 is situated in the middle of the line 36, and the length L2 of the balancing chamber 19 and the expansion chamber 51 satisfies a formula of 0.85cT/4≤L2≤1.15cT.
