    • PURPOSE:To provide a small-gapped and easy-to-assemble rotor that allows operation under high temperatures and a permanent magnet to be fixed securely to a rotor core. CONSTITUTION:A rotor core 11, permanent magnets 12 forming magnetic poles around the rotor core 11 with a suitable gap, thin metal cylinder 13 covering the periphery of the permanent magnet 12, are respectively located on the periphery of the cylinder 13 corresponding to the gap between permanent magnets. Also provided are a clamp bar 14 to press the cylinder 13 toward the center of the rotor core 11 so that the cylinder 13 is deformed plastically at it part opposed to the gap between poles, and end rings 15, which are installed on the rotor core 11 at the axial ends of the permanent magnets 12, and which are provided with a recessed slot inside constituting a tapered surface to thrust the end of each clamp bar 14 toward the radial center of the rotor core. Thus, the end rings 15 can fix and position each clamp and adjust the tension on the cylinder.
