The division means divides recorded data into a plurality of recorded data blocks. The generation means generates first parity data from n recorded data blocks to be recorded in an area to which n storages correspond. The recording means records the n recorded data blocks in the area to which the n storages correspond, and records the first parity data in an area to which one storage corresponds among the areas to which the n storages and the one storage correspond. The generation means generates temporary parity data on the basis of m recorded data blocks that remain in the case that m recorded data blocks less than n recorded data blocks remain. The recording means records the temporarily parity data in at least one storage among the n storages.
