    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently cool a part of a rotor where a moving blade is embedded in a steam turbine. SOLUTION: This steam turbine rotor 90 of the steam turbine includes a rotor body 10 forming a moving blade implanting groove 12 in a columnar shape, and a plurality of moving blades 20 engaging with the moving blade implanting groove 12. The moving blades 20 include a blade effective part 30 for flowing first steam passing through a nozzle diaphragm 60, a platform part 40 integrally connected with the blade effective part 30 and an implanting part 50 integrally formed with the platform part 40 and engaging with the moving blade implanting groove 12. The platform part 40 is formed with an eaves plate 42 extending to both sides in the axial direction and covering a rotor body outer peripheral surface 11 from the outside in the radial direction. The first steam flows outside in the radial direction of the eaves plate 42.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steam turbine capable of reducing force acting on a thrust bearing, by increasing steam force in the inverse direction of the flowing direction, by increasing ambient pressure in a diameter expanding part of a turbine rotor, by avoiding complication of a device. SOLUTION: This steam turbine includes a casing 2 having a shaft seal device 1, a plurality of stages having one stage composed of a moving blade and a stationary blade, a turbine rotor 4 for arranging the stage in a diameter of a part adjacent to the high pressure side of the shaft seal device 1, and a nozzle box 7 positioned on the most upstream side in a steam flow in the casing 2 and having a steam inflow chamber 14 and a first stage stationary blade 3 correspondingly arranged to a plurality of respective main steam pipes. A closed space is formed by partitioning a space 18a on the shaft seal device 1 side of the nozzle box 7 by a partition wall 12 arranged between the nozzle box 7 and the casing 2.
