    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently dewater the laundry by changing the content of the dewatering operation (the final dewatering operation) just before the drying operation without increasing the total number of processes from the washing operation to the drying operation.
      SOLUTION: A microcomputer detects the weight of the laundry (the laundry before soaked in water) inside a drum before the washing operation (Step S1), and detects the size of variation of the torque of a motor in the washing operation (Step S3). Then, the microcomputer determines the quality of the fabric of the laundry inside the drum based on the size of variation of the torque of the motor in the washing operation (Step S4), and changes the content of rotation control of the dewatering operation just before the drying operation based on the result of determination of the quality of the fabric (Steps S14 and S15).

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain a sudden increase in the internal pressure of a cycle pipe of a heat pump at the time when a drying operation is suspended. SOLUTION: The clothing drying machine has a blower which circulates air in a rotary tub through a draft air duct and a heat pump forming a freezing cycle by arranging an evaporator and a condenser in the blowing route and connecting by them to a compressor and performs a drying operation to dry clothing. Firstly, when the drying operation is suspended by a user's operation, even after the compressor is stopped, the blower is operated for a prescribed period (t1 to t2). Secondly when the drying operation is suspended by the user's operation, the capability of the compressor is lowered to continue the operation of the compressor for a prescribed period.
