    • An on-vehicle AC generator that comprises a rotor; and a stator including a cylindrical stator iron core in which a plurality of slots extending in axial direction of a shaft are formed to be circumferentially aligned, and which is fitted to and supported in a case to contain the rotor therein, and a stator winding wound about the slot of the stator iron core, and which possesses a high rigidity to secure no deformation by force applied at the time of being fitted to the case. An insulating resin having adhesive properties is applied to an entire surface of the coil end portions. A corner portion formed by outer circumferential surface of the bottom of the coil end portions and an end face in axial direction of the stator iron core is also filled with the adhesive insulating resin.

    • The present invention is a rotor for a vehicle a.c. generator which increases the operational life of the a.c. generator. The rotor, in the present invention for a vehicular a.c. generator includes a bobbin having a rotor coil for generating a magnetic field wound thereon and including fixing portions for supporting lead wires of the rotor coil; a pair of rotor cores for sandwiching the rotor coil and the bobbin therebetween; slip rings having terminals to be connected to the lead wires; grooves formed in the rotor core for housing the lead wires, the lead wires extending between the fixing portions and the terminals; and a rear fan provided so as to cover the grooves. The fixing portion, the terminal and the groove for each of the lead wires are provided so as to be substantially aligned, and the groove has an inward portion near an inner periphery of the rotor formed in a greater width than an outward portion near an outer periphery of the rotor.

    • The present invention has been made aiming at decreasing sound pressure of the cooling wind and increasing cooling effect of the vehicular ac generator. The arrangement is such that a case is composed of a pair of opposing brackets having exhaust port ribs, defining a plurality of exhaust ports and intake port ribs disposed inner side of said exhaust ports and defining a plurality of intake ports, that exhaust port ribs of at least one of the brackets are tilted from 20° to 50° in the direction of rotation of the rotor with respect to the radial direction of the rotor and that the rib thickness of the exhaust port ribs in the normal plane of the tilt direction of the exhaust port ribs are equal to or less than 50% of the exhaust port width.
