    • An obstacle-removing device having brushes that can be retracted when the device is at the rear side in the traveling direction of the vehicle. The device includes a vertical frame positioned to the leading end in the traveling direction of the vehicle, and a lifting/lowering device attached to the vertical frame to lift and lower a brush holder having brushes and attached to a vertically movable member which can be lifted and lowered by the lifting/lowering device. The brush holder is pivotally attached to the vertically movable member such that the brush holder is tilting forward when the brushes held by the brush holder contact the running surface to perform an obstacle-removing operation.

    • A bogie (16) for a guide rail system vehicle, wherein the bogie (16) is configured so that a load on a guide wheel is reduced and the bogie has increased durability obtained by increasing the strength of a bogie structure including a guide frame and achieves stable travel performance not affected by surface irregularity of a guide rail. A bogie (16) for a guide rail system vehicle, wherein the bogie is guided by guide wheels (42) in contact with and rolling on a guide rail (10) mounted along a travel path (T) and wherein rubber tires (28) are steered by a steering mechanism (46) interlocked with the guide wheels. The bogie (16) is provided with a guide frame (36) having a structure comprising two lateral beam members (38) mounted to the front and rear of a bogie structure, to opposite ends of which the guide wheels (42) are rollably mounted. The structure also comprises join members (40) mounted between the two lateral beam members (38).     • A vehicle includes a vehicle body, a bolster spring, a bogie supporting the vehicle body via the bolster spring and a vehicle height adjusting mechanism. The vehicle height adjustment mechanism includes an integrating device, a measuring device and an elastic force adjusting device. The integrating device integrates a first relative displacement amount at a first position between the vehicle body and the bogie and a second relative displacement amount at a second position between the vehicle body and the bogie. The measuring device measures an integrated value of the first relative displacement amount and the second relative displacement amount. The elastic force adjusting device adjusts elastic force of the bolster spring based on the integrated value so as to adjust a relative displacement amount between the vehicle body and the bogie.

    • To perform the height adjustment of the vehicle body with high precision by improving the sensitivity of measuring the height of the vehicle without making the dead-band smaller, the present invention proposes a guideway-type vehicle comprising: a vehicle body 12; an air spring 16; a bogie 14 which supports the vehicle body 12 via the air spring 16; and a vehicle height adjusting mechanism which includes an integrating device 50, a measuring device 44 and an elastic force adjusting device 42, the integrating device 50 integrating a first relative displacement amount at a first position A1 between the vehicle body 12 and the bogie 14 and a second relative displacement amount at a second position A2 between the vehicle body 12 and the bogie 14, the second position A2 being farther than the first position A1 from the center of the vehicle body 12 in a width direction of the vehicle body, the measuring device measuring an integrated value of the first relative displacement amount and the second relative displacement amount, the elastic force adjusting device 42 adjusting elastic force of the air spring 16 based on the integrated value so as to adjust a relative displacement amount between the vehicle body 12 and the bogie 14. As a result, the sensitivity of measuring the vehicle height and the precision of adjusting the vehicle height can be improved.
